The best way to get vitamins into our bodies is by eating the foods those vitamins naturally come in. While oranges are rich in Vitamin C, the tiny but mighty Acerola Cherry has anywhere from 50-125 times the vitamin C of oranges! This supplement is simply dried Acerola Cherries, it's also rich in numerous phytonutrients such as carotenoids and anthocyanins. Consuming your Vitamin C in this form helps your body break it down better because it has all the other nutrients from the cherries that it needs to use the Vitamin C.
Can’t my body just make Vitamin C? Unfortunately, if you are human, you just can’t make Vitamin C.
It’s a long story involving evolutionary mutations, but the key point - humans, unlike most animals, no longer have the ability to make their own Vitamin C.
